Ingredients
- 2 8oz logs goat cheese
- ½ cup flour
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1 cup panko
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- ½ cup avocado oil or other neutral frying oil
- 1 3oz package prosciutto
- Cloud23 Hot Habanero Hot Sauce, to taste
Directions
Set up a work station with the flour, whisked egg, and panko with salt and pepper in individual bowls.
Using a chef’s knife, slice the goat cheese log into ½ inch rings. Don’t worry if the rings crack - you can use your hands to pack them together and shape them into a perfect ring shape. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Going one by one, drop each goat cheese ring into the flour, then the whisked egg, then the panko, making sure to coat fully with each step. Place back on the parchment-lined sheet.
Preheat a saute pan with the avocado oil to medium high heat. To test if it’s ready, place a piece of panko in the oil and check if it sizzles. When the oil is ready, fry the goat cheese medallion rings for a minute or so on each side, until golden brown but not burnt. Set to cool slightly on a wire rack.
When safe to handle, plate the goat cheese rings on a serving plate. Top each ring with a piece of prosciutto, then drizzle generously with Cloud23 Hot Habanero Hot Sauce. Enjoy immediately.
